he answer. The reinstallation of TS may not have cleanly removed removed relevant registry keys.
Here are are the registry keys that should be backup and removed:
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TermService
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TermServLicensing
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TermDD
- HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\Terminal Server
Replace these keys from a known working Terminal Server of the same OS type/Service Pack and patch level.
