How to Disable CD Autorun in Windows XP

- Open Regedit
- Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policies\Explorer
- if it does not already exist create the key: “NoDriveTypeAutoRun”=dword:000000b5
- Log out and log back in for the settings to take effect
