SRV Records Registered by Netlogon Service on a Domain Controller
- _ldap._tcp.DnsDomainName - Allows a DNS client to locate a server that is running the LDAP service in the DnsDomainName e.g. windowswideopen.com
- _ldap._tcp.SiteName._sites.DnsDomainName - Allows a DNS client to locate a server that is running the LDAP service in the DnsDomainName in the site SiteName e.g. sites.windowswideopen.com
- _ldap._tcp.dc._msdcs.DnsDomainName - Allows a DNS client to locate a domain controller in the DnsDomainName. This SRV record is register by all domain controllers.
- _ldap._tcp.pdc._msdcs.DnsDomainName - Allows a DNS client to locate a server acting a PDC emulator in a mixed domain named DnsDomainName
- _ldap._tcp.gc._msdcs.DnsForestName - Allows a DNS client to locate a Global Catalog server in a forest named DnsForestName
- _gc._tcp.DnsForestName - Allows a DNS client to locate a Global Catalog server in a forest named DnsForestName. This server is not a DC.
